Have you ever found yourself thinking about where you want to be a year from now? Maybe you want to feel healthier, grow your business, strengthen your relationships, or simply feel more confident in who you are. Most of us have a vision of the life we'd love to create, but sometimes that vision can feel so far away that it's overwhelming.
There are moments in life where I look around at my family, the little hands reaching for me, the laughter filling our home, the quiet moments with Casey after long days, and I just sit there overwhelmed with gratitude because this life wasn’t something I always had planned out perfectly.
One thing I’ve learned about marriage is that healthy relationships don’t stay strong by accident. Even when there’s love, respect, friendship, and a solid foundation, life has a way of pulling your attention in a hundred different directions if you let it.
Somewhere along the way, we all get the memo that we’re supposed to act a certain way, say the “right” things, and fit into these invisible boxes other people keep handing us. But here’s the truth: the second you start worrying about what everyone else thinks, you lose a little bit of yourself—and honestly, life is too short for that. The people who really matter aren’t going to judge you for laughing a little too loud, wearing that outfit that makes you feel amazing, or speaking your mind even when it’s a little messy. They’re going to love you for exactly who you are.

One thing I believe is important for us all to take into account is that: Self control is strength. Learning to find calmness in your situations is a true mastery. We have to learn how to find that point where our mood isn’t shifted based on insignificant actions, hard circumstances, harsh opinions, and stressful scenarios. When we do this, when we learn to keep composite while navigating we gain control of our own lives. It’s allowing our minds, and truth of what we know to overpower our emotional state.
My motto is always “enjoy the finer things in life”. That used to mean indulge or splurge whenever I want. I’ve learned a new respect for balance in my life, and in my nutrition. Although sometimes I splurge and grab some Ben & Jerry’s or a cookie-I’m intentional about it now. Here are some tips that have helped me with my daily sweet tooth splurging! As for the real sweets-I save it for special occasions that way I TRULY enjoy it!
More than likely we’ve already “met” but if not... HEY!
